This position will oversee all Ohio County High School Athletic Programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Kentucky certificate, license, or other legal credentials required.
2. Experience and other qualifications as specified by the Superintendent.
3. Ability to work effectively with students and coaches.
4. Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

SUPERVISES: Students and Coaches
JOB GOAL: To provide leadership to the school in coordinating all athletic events and to promote a positive self-concept and sportsman-like attitude among students.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.0 Program management/Leadership
1.1 Cooperates and consults with administrative and instructional staff when developing, improving and/or implementing new athletic programs.
1.2 Serves as the purchasing agent for athletic equipment and supplies and prepares a budget for the program and gives each sport a budget.
1.3 Prepares schedules and files contracts for athletic events scheduled.
1.4 Schedules support staff and officials for athletic events.
1.5 Maintains charge of storage and maintenance of all equipment and facilities as needed.
1.6 Assumes responsibilities of other duties relating to special athletic events.
1.7 Coordinates schedules to minimize bus transportation.
1.8 Coordinates and attends home athletic events.

2.3 Demonstrates positive collaborative relationships with other administrators.

3.3 Makes studies of new practices and techniques for improving the keeping of records.
3.4 Develops and implements KERA activities that are designed to carry out the goals of the school district
3.5 Adheres to school board policies and administrative procedures
3.6 Adheres to the state Professional Code of Ethics
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Basic contract is for the minimum school term as reflected in the school calendar for the current year with the salary determine by the District Board approved salary schedule. Additional duties may be assigned with increments for them determined by the District Board approved Extra Service Schedule.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of Board Policy 03.18 and AP:3.18 as outlined in the Certified Employee Evaluation Handbook. |
